Steam on Linux goes the 64bit Way

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen!

Today, I saw an Article that talks about that in the new Steam Beta 64bit is supported.

I just wish Steam would have a way to increse font size with out having to go into Big Picture which for me is way to large but the normal setting is way to small .... it has been asked for over the years many many times but completely ignored for some reason .... JMHO .... LOL

I personally, only care Steam going to 64-bit, if it fixes games not launching, even with Proton activated. I will say, we've had 64-bit computing since 2004-2005, so why did it take Steam so long?

Additionally, Big Picture mode is only for large TV's, its not for monitors, so I wouldn't use it.

I want to cover a couple things that might be of use to people. First, lets make sure Steam scaling is enabled.

Requires restart after enabled

Now, have a look at Steam Accessibility, you can adjust the UI text from here as well. I'm using a 32" monitor, and my text is large enough with this setting.

They also have high contrast mode, for those with eye problems who require it.

Legacy support. This has little to do with Steam and a lot to do with games relying on 32bit support. Steam is a not a game maker - it is a library of games made by others.

This I know, which is why I always have Steam set, to boot up on the Library page.
