Suggestion: Improving ISO Download Speeds with Hostinger Infrastructure/CDNs

Hi Zorin Team,

First of all, thank you for the amazing work on Zorin OS 18.1. The system is incredibly polished and is becoming a benchmark for the Linux desktop experience.

I would like to offer a constructive suggestion regarding the ISO download experience. Currently, the download speeds can be quite inconsistent, especially for users in South America (like here in Brazil). While my local connection is very fast (fiber/5G), the download often becomes a bottleneck, sometimes taking longer than the actual installation process on modern NVMe Gen5 drives.

I believe that migrating the ISO hosting to a provider with a robust global CDN, such as Hostinger, would significantly improve the first impression for new users.

Why Hostinger/Global CDNs?

  • Edge Locations in South America: It would allow users in the Mercosul region to saturate their bandwidth, making the 'First Contact' with Zorin OS as fast as the system itself.
  • Global Scalability: Using a CDN ensures that during major release peaks (like Zorin 19), the servers remain stable and fast regardless of the user's location.
  • User Experience: For a system designed to be 'faster than Windows', having a high-speed download infrastructure reinforces that brand promise from the very first click.

The Linux community in Brazil is huge and growing; having local or optimized mirrors via a global partner would be a game-changer for us.

Keep up the great work!

Best regards, [Kauã Vinicius]"
