Hello, I'm currently using Microsoft Surface Laptop 1769 (Gen 1, 13,5 inch, 8/256GB, Intel i5), have anyone been able to get face recognition working? Not just for the 1769 model, but any other laptop, and if so, how? Thanks in advance.

Perhaps this might help, but I seem to remember most distributions these days prevent PPA's being installed as part of system security:

Unfortunately, camera support is one of the weakest aspects of running linux on Surface devices due to the proprietary firmware that Microsoft and Intel use for them, and it looks like the SL1 cameras are not yet reverse-engineered.
Even for models with working cameras, IR is mostly not supported.
That said, I use the mainline 7.1.9 kernel on Fedora and every feature of my SG2 seems to work fine except IR and the rear camera, and the linux-surface kernel doesn't provide any benefits so I assume a lot of their work has been merged upstream already. The project hasn't released a 7.x kernel yet, though, so there may be better support on the horizon.
