I found this plasmoid pearl while browsing through the plasmoids addons. It's one thing that I was missing from Gnome, it's called Plasmoid Drawer. It mimic the Gnome overview applications menu, BUT you can tweak it easily in its settings. Now my old eyes don't need to be squeezed to see. I have set the icon size to 128 pix.
Nice. As I mentioned in another thread, I don't tend to go looking for extensions and addons, which is part of why I prefer KDE—I don't need so many. I DO like the applications grid though (admittedly significantly out of a petty desire to make things as "not Windows" as possible). If it works on 6.x, I'll have to try it next time I distro hop.
It works with the latest KDE also.
Though add-ons is not needed in KDE to be a fully function DE, there's some nice plasmoids for it out there.
This might be an interesting Plasmoid: KDE Control Station - KDE Store
That interface and transparency reminded me of PearOS NiceC0re that was never properly finished. Incorrect repos, no kernel, and no proper installer. It only ran live. I do wonder if Apple intervened. Older versions are on Internet Archive and do install. They were based on Ubuntu. The newer release was to be based on Arch.
