I am trying to get Freefilesync(FFS) to work. FFS is a directory synchronization/back-up tool working. I used it to back up changes to a NAS.
FFS creates these temporary files in the target folder, which are supposed to go away after it is done. But today there is one which won't go away. I found out when I tried to delete a folder on NAS to make a fresh copy, and the tmp file will not be deleted:
I also wasn't able to find the process that was holding it open:
This one file is holding up the entire works.
The FFS was initially installed from a flatpak but the upgrade was installed by executing a downloaded .RUN file. The .RUN file did not uninstall the old version. So I uninstalled the old version using the SOFTWARE app and that may have caused this problem. According to LLM advice I should try to uninstall the app that come with a .RUN using a script provided by the maker which I found in the form of an .SH file. But no:

Also there is no "allow launching" in the file context menu, I suppose because of where it sits.
I'd appreciate any hints to help clear this file out.
