The Live issue still exists on Pro

I am tryng to review the product once again. It has been a while (like almost a year?) since I last booted up the iso. I chose to Try Zorin / using NVIDIA hardware / and I specifically chose Use Proprietary drivers.

Once again it started up and when I finally had the desktop the HDMI monitor was normal, but the DP monitor was BLUE. It was impossible to see or read anything displayed on the monitor. So I installed and ran INXI once again I had the Neuvaeo driver garbage running once again. I was not running the NVIDIA DRIVER which should be at level 570. As a result I had no interest in going forward with the install.

Expected Results:
One of two things: either get on the butts of the developer of those disgusting video drivers to fix their ■■■■ OR when I say install proprietary drivers that you install them.

As you have Pro, have you contacted the Team via support request?:

Just had a search using Brave A.I.:

Display Port Blue Screen Ubuntu 22.04

When encountering a blue screen with DisplayPort on Ubuntu 22.04 in live mode, it might be due to issues with the NVIDIA drivers or incorrect display configurations. One approach is to try reinstalling the NVIDIA driver, as suggested in the context for similar login issues.

Additionally, you can attempt to reset the display manager by running:

sudo systemctl restart gdm

Another solution involves checking if the display settings have been corrupted or modified incorrectly. You can remove the xorg.conf file, which may resolve display issues on boot.

If the problem persists, consider switching to the Nouveau drivers, as they might work better than the proprietary NVIDIA drivers in certain scenarios.

To switch to Nouveau drivers, follow these steps:

  1. Open "Software & Updates."
  2. Go to the "Additional Drivers" tab.
  3. Select the Nouveau driver.
  4. Apply the changes and reboot your system.

If the issue still isn't resolved, ensure that your system is configured correctly for dual monitors. Sometimes, incorrect configurations can lead to display problems.

For remote desktop connections specifically, there are known issues with the xrdp package in Ubuntu 18.04.3, but this information might not directly apply to Ubuntu 22.04. However, it's worth noting that full-screen mode in all monitors can cause issues with remote desktop connections, leading to a blue screen after login.

If none of these solutions work, you might need to seek further assistance from the Ubuntu community or forums, providing detailed information about your hardware and the exact error messages you encounter.

What this jogged my memory with is the fact that Zorin now uses the Wayland Compositor by default which has issues with nvidia graphics.
What happens if you logout of the live system, enter liveuser at the login screen and see if a cog appears - change this to 'Zorin on xorg'.

Moderator Note: I understand Your Frustration but please take Attention of Your Language.

And what did You choose before? When You start the USB Drive with Zorin on it, You should get a Black Screen with some Options. Did You choose there the Option with ''Modern Drivers''?

And another Thing because You use a Nvidia Card: Did You checked if the System runs in Wayland or X11/Xorg? You can check that in Settings>About. With Nvidia, it would be better to use X11/Xorg on Zorin 17.
