Interesting .... first thing .... thank you .... Ubuntu Cleaner worked perfectly ..... however the other 3 still remained with the stock icons .....

I made two screen shots the first is of Zorin / Cinnamon and the 2nd of Mint / Cinnamon .....

On Zorin I don't use the same apt's that I do on Mint so the 4K Video Downloader icon is not shown .... I also don't use XnView MP on Zorin .... but I installed it just to see if the icon would work .... I plan on removing XnView MP on Zorin as I use gThumb instead .....

I used your latest upload 1.5 and lots of native apt's now show your Black Sun icons so it is a vast improvement ....

Not sure what went wrong .... I also restated both OS's and reinstalled Black Sun multiple times ...... all the other icons seem to work just fine .....

Zorin .....

Mint .....

Strange. Can you please go to /usr/share/applications in your file browser and find the apps that needs change. When you find them, open them with a text editor app and look for something like icons= xxxxxxxx

Can you please report back what they are called?

I didn't see this too apps without black sun icons:
balena-etcher
filezilla

Thank's

Done. Will be uploaded in acouple of days. I'm working on some big changes regarding 16 pix size icons.

Because of that I have a Question: Shouldn't it theoretically work when You create a Folder ''scalable'' and set it up in the index.theme File as scalable with a MinSize Value of 16? Or does it need directly a 16 Folder?

Yes, and this is what I do in my sets, rather than isolating in folders.
And so does @Storm

I saw that in the Simply Circles Icon Set and so I try it now with @Storm's Black Sun Uniformed Icon's and add there symbolic Icons and normal one's from other Icon Sets. And with the scalable Folders I thought it would be easier and faster. And first Experiments did work.

Specially in KDE are using 16 pix icons. So to make them more visable I'll make 16pix monochrome.

The upcoming version 2.0 of "Black Sun" icon theme has huge changes to KDE where the 16-22px are switched to monochrome icons. It's done because the default icons of Black Sun was hard to see their symbols. I estimate that version 2.0 is ready in the weekend and will be uploaded here: GitHub - SethStormR/Black-Sun: Black Sun is an icon theme for Cosmic DE, Gnome, XFCE, KDE, Cinnamon and Budgie DE.

The only I can't fix is XNView MP as it has fixed icon, but you can manually give it its icon by changing Icon=/opt/XnView/xnview.png to Icon=xnviewmp
may require that you switch the theme back and forth to take effect.

Or use the flatpak version of xnview mp

The rest I fix in the next update.

Thanks Storm I'll give this a try ..... let you know ....

Interesting it won't let me do it ..... here is some photos .....

Try instead setting the path:
Icon=~/.icons/Black Sun/apps/xnviewmp

If that is where your icon is...

Am I doing this wrong I just got the same message again it says "I do not have the permissions necessary to save the file"

Did you install Storms Black Sun icon set to Home Directory or to /usr/share/icons? We need that path...

To get permissions:

sudo -i

nemo

Navigate to /usr/share/applications, then right click xnview.desktop file and select 'Open with..." your preferred text editor. That will open it in Read/ Write, instead of Read Only.
