In that case... let's get rid of it, now.
sudo apt remove --purge xserver-xorg-input-all
You should be fine with libinput
. The xserver-xorg-input may be interferring, so removing it may solve the issue.
If not - or if you have no screen at all, enter recovery mode:

Enable networking
Then arrow key down to Drop to Prompt
and reinstall:
sudo apt install xserver-xorg-input-all
