Ubi-partman failed

I'm trying to install ZorinOS Pro on a Toshiba Qosmio X70 Notebook (2015).

The installer reports:
ubi-partman failed with exit code 10.

And now?

In following the guide, I'd upsize the first partition to something on the order of 512 MB.

Also, make sure to leave 1 MB free space preceding the first partition. This ensures the partition is aligned along the sector size, no matter what sector size the hard drive uses, which really helps to maximize data throughput.

Have you taken a look at [HOW TO] Partition & Install Zorin 16?
You can also view the disk partitions in the live image and modify them there, but make sure you perform Before you install

I have now booted the computer from the stick and formatted the hard drive completely (formatting is in progress). Who needs Windows anymore?!?!?

I assume this will solve the problem.

I'm going to buy the computer a new SSD anyway (I don't trust a 7-year-old SSD). If the problem is hard drive related - and it looks like it to me - then I won't have a problem anymore.

Or what do you mean?
