Hi @swarfendor437
I've now had a look at GParted on various distros.
Just using a ventoy stick and booting ISO's in live mode.
Don't know why formatting choice by the same app varies from one OS to another.
Seems odd.
Perhaps it's kernel or GParted app version related?
I finished by looking at GParted in Rescuezilla and all format versions are supported there.
Not odd. Suspect other distros have better packaging!

Or the way other distros are built maybe.

Tried to install thi SD Memory Card formatter, but failed. Did anyone succeed ?
Looking back, this was the solution to doing so, in this very thread.
Hi @Freeway
Thanks so much! Unfortunately, it didn't work. I got the following:
sudo apt-get install exfat-utils exfat-fuse
[sudo] password for sajib:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
Package exfat-utils is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package 'exfat-utils' has no installation candidate

I personally, have never formatted a drive to Exfat. I've only formatted drives to Fat32, NTFS, and GPT. So as it is, I can't speak on experience. But the person who made the post above, he's got the experience.
