Updating Zorin OS 18 kernel from 6.14 to 6.18

Hello all!
Somewhere i reading The family Arc gpu not the best friend with linux distributions. Maybe this card gpu is to newest to exist kernel and drivers willl comes with next version kernel. Maybe on company what produces Arc products there are some information.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the info. I have finally got X-Plane 12 to work on Zorin OS 18. Here is my setup.
Intel Arc B580
32GB DDR5
Zorin OS 18
Liquorix 6.18.2-2
Mesa 23.5.2
Vulkan 1.4
X-Plane 12.4.0-Beta

I haven't actually flown it properly, but I'm not getting any flickering trees, enabling 3D vegetation does not cause a vulkan device loss error and the graphics looks great. still have to do more testing. But so far so good.
Also, before, Zinc bridge was greyed out, but now it is functional. Haven't tried it though so i don't know if it is working.

I thank God for this. Will continue testing. Have to learn to fly first though.

Great job, I am proud of you! Sometimes these little things in Linux, can be really frustrating. But look what you did in the process, you learned new things, with guidance, and you even achieved success! I am happy for you. :woman:

I just tried this and it didn't automatically start using the newer Kernel. Why would that happen?

Can you please post the terminal output of:

cat /etc/default/grub

and

uname -r
