Should I pay for zorin 18 pro, if I bough 17pro before?
This is a choice on your part. Many end users will skip a release or use the Donate button to select a custom support amount on the About page, instead.
Each release (not including Point Releases) is an independent release.
The purpose of Pro:
Zorin OS is solely funded by Pro users. It is why there are zero ads or invasive technologies on Zorin OS.
It is the full-time job of the ZorinGroup, not a side job.
No end user carries that weight alone; and if the choice of Pro is too costly to repeat every two or so years; Core remains free and all Operating Functionality is present, not locked behind a paywall.
