Ok, this is a PCI event.

You might try fully powering off the computer, removing the battery and holding down the power button to fully reset the EC

Then power up and test.
If that does not work, can try kernel parameter
usbcore.autosuspend=-1

Remember, you are using usbcore.autosuspend=-1 and not nomodeset
and run

sudo update-grub

after saving the file with changes.
