VNC IOS to Zorin OS

Hi all,

New to Linux, New to Zorin OS.

I want to run a server on Zorin OS.
In the older windows day's i used to work with Teamviewer but now i want to switch to an other program and i can need all the help i can get.

First of all i hope there is some free software out there to do the job.
I want to controle the server as well on a ipad ( running ios ) as on a windows pc ( can't replace this one jet ).
I am going to run a VMS on Zorin just some extra info.
Must be over LAN as over WAN so when i am out the door i must have acces to the server.

Hope u can help me out here.

Hi and welcome.

I can suggest TightVNC. There is some documentation for screen echo sharing:

I would take a look at Remmina (Remote) which comes with Zorin and can use VNC.

Some documentation here:

How to Connect to Remote Machine with Remmina

Okay so i am trying to install TightVNC but it seems i can't get it to work.
I am new to programming

Hi, I don't program myself. I don't use tightVNC either which is why I posted links to the guides. You could always visit TightVNC support:

And Remmina here:

I have installed Tightvnc but i keep getting a error that there is already running one.

Can’t figure it out what went wrong or what i am doing wrong.

I am afraid it is the standard vnc what comes with zorin is the problem. Could that be?
I can use the standard settings withing zorin but i keeps changing the pasword so when there is a reboot there is automatic a new password. That is why i wanted to go for tightvnc.
