Decided to add dual boot to my desktop along side ubuntu 20.04 and did a install last night. My ubuntu wifi working just fine and same drivers.
Everything went smooth during installation in fact better experience installation wise than when I installed it on my laptop. Was able to connect to WiFi during installation process but when I logged in was unable to connect to my wifi. I am currently wired in. Able to see my wifi
I tried several touble shooting fixes. I list below.
secure boot turn off (did this prior to installation)
searched synaptic pkg manager and applied wifi pkgs that already where installed.
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo service network-manager restart
sudo apt-get install --reinstall network-manager
