Windows 10 VM internet Connection

OK, I'm new to Zorin (18.1 Pro) and am a Microsoft refugee. Zorin 18.1 Pro runs way better than expected! So, here is my question: I set up a Win 10 VM. It worked perfectly! I installed all of the patches. Does the Win VM connect directly to the internet, or does it go through the Zorin OS?

What VM software are you using?
I use virt-manager and I use PowerLink adapters which use ethernet. The VM uses the same ethernet but the VM uses a totally different IP range.
