Hello. Windows applications suddenly stopped opening. I reinstalled Wine, but that didn't help. Please help me figure this out.
Yesterday I bought the Pro version and I very much regret it. To what I wrote above, it also turned out that it is impossible to install Linux programs like Redshift, Gammaindicator, and others. I will demand a refund. In the free version, everything worked perfectly. I am very angry.
It's just a scam.
What is your terminal output for:
sudo apt update
It sounds like a broken package.

Do they simply not opening or do You get an Error Message? If an Error Message appears: Can You post it here plese?
Can You explain in more Detail what You mean with ''impossible to install''? How do You install them? Are there any Erros Messages?
Not error messages, windows apps just not works. Not opens. Nothing.
Linux programs has error messages._"Unable to get location from provider." not opens.
Edited. Ooops...some Linux programs like Reaper today suddenly installs without problem. Unbelievable.

Added. But windows programs not opens. Anymore had same problem ?
This sounds like some are installing as Flatpak and being isolated, cannot communicate with the provider in order to operate.
@lonely333, it is standard that a vague "It does not work" is insufficient for troubleshooting.
You just need to put effort in.
Whether it be by posting screenshots, showing error messages or making descriptions.
What method are you using to install packages on GnuLinux? What happens when you try? What package format are you selecting?
Saying which Windows Apps are silently failing to launch can help - since some may have missing dependencies like Gecko, Mono or DirectX.
Thanks, I understand, but my Windows programs were working fine. They just suddenly stopped working. The problems started the next day after I bought and installed the PRO version.
So I'll demand a refund and go back to the free version. If they don't return my money, I'll start a dispute on PayPal.
Especially since the Pro version doesn't have what I need.
I'm a musician and sound engineer and there's nothing there for me.
I think if you have had Zorin OS Pro only a short time; have had problems and it does not meet the expectations set by its description; then you are taking reasonable action to set that right. I cannot help with Pro refunds or purchasing; only the ZorinGroup has access to that data.
What we can do here is try to resolve the issues that you are having.
The more descriptive you are; the more we have to work with to try to help you.
If you want to try seeing if Core or Lite works, but Pro doesn't first - that is a viable starting point.
If it does not; then we need to look at what software you are running (that started silently failing) and look at the logs and look at their dependencies.

As I understand it, the Zorin component of Pro is identical to the equivalent in Core but you are paying for he addons and/or making a donation to help the developers. So installing Pro shouldn't break anything that was working in Core. Did you checksum the iso?

Thanks everyone for the feedback and advice. I don't know what I'll do next yet. I'll have to figure out how to live on this OS.
Could this be another manifestation of the dreaded 6.17 kernel update?
Can you do a Restart.
From grub menu, choose "Advanced Options for Zorin"
From there choose a 6.14.... kernel generic version, and boot that and test.

Thanks of course, but I've been using Linux for six days and I don't understand anything you've said.
Restart your computer.
When the Zorin (grub) menu appears, click on "Advanced Options for Zorin"
A list of linux kernels should then appear.
Click on one of those that is "6.14.0-### kernel generic"
Your computer will then boot with that older 6.14 kernel.
Once you have then logged-in, try doing what you were doing to run your Windows programs.
I hope that is clearer.

I wrote to support and received the following response: sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y . Maybe this will be useful to someone.
