DOW shouldn't give an access violation. If it does then reinstall Wine - POL is just a front-end, the problem lies with how Wine is installed. I've played Soulstorm, DOW II, Gothic Armada, using POL - no problems with any of them either on install or when running them.
As for the other applications, try searching the net for "Wine access violation" to see what results you get.

I installed wine with Play on Linux and
tried to install Winband with the help of Synaptic Package Manager
Tried also to install Winband using the Command line with the instruction sudo apt-get install winbind
If I go to the Software Centre and I search for Winband I don t find it.
If you need aditional information, please let me know.

There's a winbind in synaptics;
Samba is an implementation of the SMB/CIFS protocol for Unix systems,
providing support for cross-platform file sharing with Microsoft Windows, OS X,
and other Unix systems. Samba can also function as a domain controller
or member server in both NT4-style and Active Directory domains.
This package provides winbindd, a daemon which integrates authentication
and directory service (user/group lookup) mechanisms from a Windows
domain on a Linux system.
Winbind based user/group lookups via /etc/nsswitch.conf can be enabled via
the libnss-winbind package. Winbind based Windows domain authentication can
be enabled via the libpam-winbind package.

When running the command; sudo apt install winbind

This says that Winbind is Fully installed.
You might remove Play On Linux and Wine, completely.
Once removed, install wine with
sudo apt install zorin-windows-app-support
after reinstalling wine and play on linux and trying to install office 2010, I received the following error message
Error in FS_Check
The following file is located on a FAT32 filesystem.
It might prevent wine from working
had the same error message in the past
Might_be_a_Penguin suggests the following:
Open Play On Linux
Click on the Tools drop down menu
Open PlayOnLinuxConsol
When the console opens type: POL_Config_Write NO_FSCHECK TRUE
Hit enter and close the console.
You should now be able to install windows files using Play On Linux since this disables the FS Check.
I do not use WINE, so am not sure myself, but please let me know if this works.

I am not brushing you off; rather, there are more knowledgeable people on WINE whereas I am not one of them.
So Zorin Lite is working for me and after almost a year in now buying the proper Zorin in like a month's time;
I wanna run (via Wine) Cubase 8 so I can output surround sound bounces but when starting Cubase 8, I get the ERROR:'DWM composition is not running.Please switch to an Aero theme.'
My question,Is the DWM installed on Zorin going to help me get past this error?
That is a poor dependency on the part of Cubase 8 - and a bit... lazy and domineering... for them to enforce it.

Making an application depend on a theme is an absurdity. On a deeper level... I get why they did it. But WHY did they do that?
It comes down to promoting Microsoft along with a Lazy approach of building the Window to match the theme, instead of building the Window properly to render in any MS theme.

To clarify, Cuebase 8 needs aero them to work so I switched Cubase 11pro BUT the installer won't happen till I set win(dows)e to 10;I set it to 10 and still, Cuebase 11pro installer detects that Win(dows) is still not set above windows 8
