Wine not working after OS 18 upgrade

Having successfully upgraded to Zorin 18 core.
I now find that wine is no longer working. If I double click on the exe, the window opens do you want to run anyway. Click to continue and nothing happens.
If I click on configure wine - nothing happens. So the upgrade seems to have broken something.
Any idea how to fix it?
Should I just uninstall and reinstall, or is there a better way of fixing?

Thanks for any advice

You could try first in Terminal sudo apt reinstall wine and check if this helps. If not, You can try it with uninstall and then install it again.

I found(on this machine) i had to use bottles to make wine stuff work correctly. Have you tryed Bottles?

Hi,

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling and its not worked. I had a look at bottles but was exactly sure what I'm meant to be doing. So will need to do some research. However time is a bit tight for the next few days.

Had a few problems with bottles not working, however after some research I've now got the utility working under bottles.
I've also realised that Lutris is not working, so further work is needed when I get a bit of spare time!

Thanks for your help.
