I opened Youtube and was surprised to see a video from SomeOrdinaryGamers (aka Mutahar, with 3.81 million followers) testing out and giving feedback on Zorin OS. It was a nice test drive of the distro and highlighted the good and bad points of Zorin. But it was overall positive and this is a Youtuber who recommends Linux many times in his videos. It's awesome seeing people try Zorin and enjoy the overall feel of the distro. Below is the link if you want to watch the video.
I've shown the error of his ways about Affinity. You need to download the Enterprise version for it to run in GNU/Linux. Ooh, I am so excited!
Now I was shocked at the US price for Zorin Pro, but people need to realise this has come about to the Tariff war started by you know who. When assisting another Zorin user I cursory looked at SoftMaker Office Professional - here in the UK it works out at £109 - for a US consumer it is way over $200!
The Canadian dollar is well known, to not be worth as much as the US dollar. Canadians pay like almost twice the amount, that a person in the US does. For example, when the Nvidia 5090's were just released, they costed 3K for the US, but Canadians had to pay at least 4K or more for them. Canadians pay 70 for Zorin OS 18 PRO, US pays like 50.
I know its not fair to Canadians, its not right! Please remember however, us US citizens are going through things in this country, from you know who Sith lord Leader T. IMO, Canadians like the guy in the video above I replied to, they are having a better life up there in the hat of America, then we Us citizens are having right now.
So, in my own person view, Canada citizens are having a better life then we are right now. I never thought I would see the day, that our country, would go from a democracy, to authoritarianism. But, I have to stop myself, as politics is not allowed in the rules of the site. All I am trying to say..................
I know he's Canadian, cause his dollars are in Canadian, as seen in the video. So yes you pay more then US, but at least your still free, enjoy the freedom. Cause once you lose freedom, lose your livelihood, life gets far worse, very quickly.
