I am using Zorin 16 lite and while using the zoom meetings I am facing a lot of problems in full screen, slow transition while in a meeting, flickering, etc...
I usually attend my classes using zoom and these problems make me very annoying and make the program unusable.
These problems exist only in Xfce cuz
I did not experience such things while I was on Zorin 16 core with gnome
while using Xfce in Zorin 16 core I faced the same problems.
I tried using zoom in the browser but it lacks some functionality and the voice seems to be breaking and every time I have to sign in manually which was not so in the desktop client.
No the video is not made in windows 10. I screen recorded it in Zorin. The windows in the video was another participant's screen who was screen sharing at the moment
This also seems common in KDE Plasma, too. What they both share, but Gnome lacks, is Windows Compositing (Since Gnome generally does little in the way of Window Management).
On XFCE, you might try:
Open Settings, then move to Window Manager Tweaks > Compositor
Uncheck "Enable display Compositing"
You might also uncheck Shadows....
Refresh your desktop and Test Zoom.
You may also check your Refresh rate for your monitor.
Yes there is no flickering when in window mode but that does not slow transition, breakage of some controls. Most of the time I want to be in full screen because the notes and documents shared will correctly fit to be visible and to write.
