Zorin 15.3 Lite

Hi,

I have a question about the kernel, I’m new on using Linux.
First I have an older version of the zorin I think it is 12 and I want to update it, but my concern is can I put on OS Zorin 15 with the kernel 4.15 or lower? Because I have an USB adaptor that it works on that kernel.

I use the USB Wirless Adaptor because the realtek it doesn’t recognized, I tried to fix it approx 2 months and I finally decided to buy an USB Wireless Adapter.

Thank you,
Snow

Hi, Snow.
The ‘unclaimed’ is because your existing kernel doesn’t have a driver for it. Upgrading the kernel typically should fix that.
Do you have any more info on the Realtek (model#)?
I don’t think lspci will give anything more but you can try that too. Otherwise, a model # may help.
