So this was quite frustrating in the beginning but eventually I came right.
Although I am quite dissapointed with the struggle of setting up Zorin.
It was well worth it.
I hope this helps you.
When installing Zorin. (I am installing Zorin 16.2 Pro)
Use the option that says with Nvidia graphics drivers.
First off I am running :
Processor |
AMD® Ryzen 5 5600h with radeon graphics × 12
Graphics |
NVIDIA Corporation / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU
After Install.
Read this page and install AMD Drivers (Take note of the secure boot)
Then you need to open Software and Updates.
It's pre installed on Zorin.
Go to Additional Drivers. You will find a list of options.
Note!!!
I used this option. The others did not work for me.
IMPORTANT
When you restart your computer after this step.
You computer may get stuck on the boot screen. If it gets stuck.
You need to open your system BIOS and re-enable secure boot mode.
That will get you through the stuck boot sequence.
After that then you can boot up and change your driver in the additional drivers section and restart to load new driver. And try again.
And don't forget to test the driver without the Secure boot enabled.
(wash - rinse - repeat) until you get the right one.
It's a tedious process.
But this should help you
