I sometimes had freezes on Zorin OS 17, I think is when I copy files from an NTFS hard disk to a USB drive/pendrive, can this be related to the freezing? Only form of exit is forcing reset with the hardware button. My PC is a desktop with an AMD A8 PRO processor, an Radeon RX 550, 16GB RAM DDR3, and 2 SSD and 2 HDD, the SSD formatted recently on ext4 through zorin installer (because I'm trying to go away from Windows) and the HHD are NTFS because all my data is there. Secure boot disabled, fast boot enabled (but I rebooted the machine from Windows before installing Zorin)
Now rebooted the PC and with accessing the pendrive says me (in Spanish) Cannot access to (pendrive name) Error mounting /dev/sde1 at /media/(username)/(USB name) Unknown error when mounting/dev/sde1
Sometimes when fastboot is enabled on windows, it can cause all kinds of errors. I don't think it should be affecting your ability to plug in a USB and mount it, but it definitely could be screwing with your NTFS drive while you're trying to do things with it. Personally I would disable it then shutdown right from windows, in my experience sometimes just doing a reboot isn't enough to knock some sense into it.
I think you mean "Fast start-up" in Windows. Power Settings>Choose what the power button does. Untick this item: Turn on fast start-up (recommended)
Some have had problems with devices or settngs locked to Windows, as fast start-up performs a sort of session hibernation during shutdown, to enable it to perform a faster startup than otherwise from a clean boot.

Thanks! I suspected that's Win doing their things. Now re-installed W10 and disabled Secure Boot, Fast Boot and Fast Startup and then I will reinstall Zorin wiping finally all Windows. Also, when I booted into W10 gave me the known error "Fixing D and E Stage X" probably the NTFS file system was corrupted and W fixed it.

Now happened again, I completely wiped the 2 SSD and installed Zorin as the only system, with Fast Boot and Secure Boot disabled, and when was Windows installed disabled Fast Startup and rebooted twice, then I installed Zorin (on 1 disk BIOS BOOT (1 MB), EFI (100 MB), SWAP (16384 MB, same amount as my RAM) and the rest EXT4 mounted on / ; the other SSD is all on EXT4 mounted to /home ; then are the 2 HDD with NTFS. I think the NTFS is the problem because the freeze happens when I copy files from the HDD to a USB pendrive (NTFS, I think is the mistake). Now I'm trying to do it again but with the USB format in FAT32
And it hung again. With the USB in FAT32. I highly suspect this is from the NTFS hard disks. When I copied from the new EXT4 /home to the USB, no freezes.
