I am in touch with a Zorin user who contacts me whenever they have an issue. Obviously you can't use remote login at boot time when something like a kernel update appears but as I write this I guess I could have removed the errant update provided an old kernel was present.
The user is not technically minded. They got the issue of no internet resolved due to help from Verizon ironically.
My query is two-fold.
-
Has the latest linux kernel update been implemented for Zorin 17 users?

The person who lost internet connection told me that a pile of updates started to get installed on rebooting their machine which caused the issue. I queried the fact that you normally have to give permission for updates to be installed but they stated that they just started to appear on booting up their machine.
