This could provide some help. For some reason on YouTube having on "ambient mode" causes stutter. At least for me it does on my old PC. You have to deselect it as well in shorts options.
I read about this, I agree, keep AM off on YouTube, nobody asked for it, nobody wants it, YouTube pushes their gimmick, which causes problems.
Hello Nate, I'm sorry to hear you have been having issues with this. Whenever we run Windows native games on Linux through Steam, we need to use the Proton compatibility layer. The only exception to that rule, is if were running a Linux native game, that doesn't need Proton.
Please make sure the latest Steam Proton GE, are installed, under your installed Steam, in the software store.
Put a checkmark in Proton-GE please.
Once completed, make sure you restart Steam, if it were open the entire time.
Right click the game you want to play, click properties, click compatibility, put checkmark in force, scroll to bottom, choose Proton GE.
Now launch the game, you should see your full FPS now.
how do you get to this page?
Software store. Search Steam in search box. Click on Steam, scroll down, you should see the addons boxes there.
okay i’ll download those and see if it fixes anything
