Zorin appearance not working, also extensions

I updated Zorin core 17.3 today and I got the gnome skin instead of the classic Zorin one. Zorin appearance not working, desktop icons not showing, etc. GNOME extensions also don't work properly.
Could you help me?

I wonder if this post may help you:

Although this relates to previous ZorinOS version, it should still be valid. Follow the command stated for Core.

Welcome to the Forum!

I would like to expand @zabadabadoo's Advice a bit. To be precise: the Command. You have Zorin Core, so:

sudo apt reinstall zorin-os-desktop zorin-appearance zorin-appearance-layouts-shell-core zorin-appearance-layouts-support

Everything remains the same. I think there's an incompatibility with gnome extensions.

Have you added foreign ppas to your system? Did you deactivate them before the update? If not, you could disable them now as a test (under Software & Updates>Other sources) and look if it helps or disable the added gnome extension to find out which one causes conflicts.

Do You have installed any Gnome Extensions? Of Course beneath the preinstalled One's from Zorin.

I haven't added any PPAs.

Yes, I've installed some extensions and the extension manager, but they stopped working.

And what Extensions are these? Did You tried it with uninstall them, make a Reboot and test if it works? Maybe with the Reinstall Command?

I've tried, and nothing works.
I'm sorry, but I've already wasted more time than I could have.
Thank you so much for your help and kindness.

The "solution" was to reinstall the system from the USB flash drive, using the same partition but without formatting it and renaming the home folder (just to be safe). Not everything was the same as before, but at least it works as it should.
Thanks

I finally found what I think caused the problem. It was installing the Citrix desktop app. As soon as I installed it, the same error occurred and the appearance stopped working properly. I had to try older versions of the app (February 2023), and then it worked and didn't change the context.

I've had a case where, Zorin extensions got turned off on Zorin OS, for unknown reasons, in the past. The solution, was to toggle them back on again.

(1) Click :zorin: logo bottom of screen

(2) Type the word "Extensions"

(3) Click on "Extensions"

(4) Make sure all Zorin extensions are toggled on.

(5) Make sure "User Themes" is also toggled on.

PS: Ignore my "Dash" extension being turned off, I'm using an alternative panel setup.
