Zorin Connect works but, recently switched to using Proton VPN on my phone (previously used DuckDuckGo VPN). With Proton VPN I have no connection where as I had a connection DuckDuckGo.
I take it have to delete the original connection and pair it again with Proton VPN running?
The reason I'm asking is I don't want to create any more problems for my self by destroying the connection I have. Push comes to shove I'll just knock off Proton VPN to do a file transfer.
Any advice would appreciated.

I was surprised to learn that you were able to connect with DuckDuckGo VPN.

Proton VPN creates a fake IP address so I suspect that because of this it obviously can't connect to the same network. I don't know if the paid for version offers a workaround. I have to turn Proton VPN off when connecting to my PCLOS Debian Plasma when using KDE Connect.

Just done a search using Brave A.I. via Mojeek search engine in respect of KDE Connect, but suspect the tunnel-splitting may only be available in paid version, will need to check.

Yep, split-tunneling is only available in the paid version of ProtonVPN. As you are only accessing the local network, no need for VPN while using apps for file transfers etc.

That's what I'm doing at the moment. will look into the split Tunneling.

Just remember split-tunneling is not available on the free version of ProtonVPN - you have to take out the subscription model to be able to use it.
