Shoud KDE connect be installed for zorin connect to work. My machine shows both installed? I can not get Zorin Connect o work but KDE connect works fine.

KDE Connect does not come pre-installed on Zorin OS as the .iso does not contain those packages.
What features on Zorin Connect are not working?

If you enabled firewall make sure the app is set to enable connections.

I got Zorin Connect working again now. For some reason I had some KDE connect services and software installed. I removed them and removed zorin connect and reinstalled zorin connect and it is now working again.
