I did not find any package in the broken filter.
I have tried, 337harvey sirs tectonic is not working.
If you try update from the terminal do you still get the broken packages?
Good, I don't use synaptic so I can't guide you from here. If you're not able to perform with synaptic what 337harvey suggests than I'm afraid, you are going encounter this problem every time.
To be honest, you've been struggling with your system for 2 days now. And again i want to mention that it's not the hard- or software. Please reconsider installing the Lite version. I know you have put some time in installing the apps.
But now you are sure to know which apps you want and which theme.
How fast can you reinstall.
I have done that process but the broken filter was empty.
Oh no not again

At the terminal Type:
sudo apt --fix-broken install
Make sure you're connected to internet.
yes, i am connected to internet.

does all broken fixed ?
It looks like it. Do an update and upgrade and your done.
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt autoremove
what does autoremove is going to remove?
i just want to know this for knowledge. can you explain me that ?
It removes packages that have been upgraded or are now obsolete by another package. Be wary of how often you use this in conjuction with what you remove. If you remove gnome it will autoremove things that are necessary. As long as what you removed is not system dependent you will be fine. In this case you should be alright. Since you reinstalled gnome.
thank you sir for this knowledge.
that process is finished. Now what i have to do ?
Whatever you were planning. You can attempt your customizations in kde, and unfortunately the onscreen keyboard will show until you change the theme.
I have kde working on my laptop with multiple configuration customizations.
If you want it to be faster though, backup your data and install 16 lite or 15 lite. Most of the modifications for cpu were targeted toward amd processors. I'm not saying that Intel processor processes weren't improved, but it was focused more on amd. So 15 should be enough to support that system and improve speeds.
Don't expect an older laptop to run at new pc speeds. And new software will also run slow because your pc doesn't have features the devs used to increase the speed in an application.
When you can, upgrade to a newer pc.
sorry sir. its now morning in usa buts its now night in india and today i have worked very hard so now i felling very sleepy. i want to rest. Can we talk after 8 hours please?
sorry sir I don't have enough money now to buy a new pc. Maybe I can buy it after 2 to 3 years and till then I have managed this pc.
I think I am giving unnecessary headaches to you. if that's right then I am very sorry. I have just realized that the problem is with my pc but I am giving the problem to you. I think that this Linux is not for my pc so I am going again to the lite version.

You all are very nice. Thank you very much again.
Understand that struggle in money.
After I made my laptop, even for repair, I already got broke and now thinking how I can have a backup money for my medicine. hahahaha.
Not everyone can easily afford new laptop/pc. The fact you are using data for internet. That's why lite versions and other light weight distro are there to revive old specs. Good luck then
That is what I'm trying to tell him all the time.
The topic of this tread is that his system was running slow and not because the got stuck.
We all love to explore, adjust and do some theming, nothing wrong with that. But I don't think he should go off and buy an other pc because of the specs or that he got stuck in the software because he was exploring or adjusting the system. And you are wright that if its an money issue, the Liter version of Zorin is a better option. He can always put the KDE DE on top off that, if he likes KDE that is.
Yes, I love kde. I have felt the smoothness of the kde, it runs very very smooth on my computer. I am now not so comfortable with it because I have used gnome more but I am sure that I will be comfortable with kde soon.
That's true because now I am new Linux users I always try to explore the system. (I am the kind of person who does not stop at any point and always try to learn new things.) This is not only os I have actually breaked a lot of things in this world for just getting knowledge but I have never harmed any living organicism for getting knowledge.
Now I am in the kde plasma desktop environment but the only problem is I have some broken packages and as you said I can't use updates with broken packages and if any way I can solve that then I can use kde for lifetime and I don't need to change the os or pc.
Hello AdarshMeher, i have readied the full conversation and i have understand your problem.
you need to remove the lock in cache. for doing that you need to run the following commands in terminal (now you are in kde season so there you can find the terminal named as konsole).
sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/lock
and
sudo rm /var/cache/apt/archives/lock
after running this commands your broken packages will be fixed.
Bonus Tip.
dont try to install zorin-os-desktop package from synaptic package manager after this process otherwise your Kde will break again.
