I also had black screen at boot. After adding nvidia*-drm.modeset=0 I only got a Zorin boot menu, still no logo
Have you tried just "quiet splash nomodeset"

I used another suggesting nvidia-drm.modeset=1 after the boot menu, Zorin white logo appeared but after a long delay of black screen, nearly at the login screen. is this normal?
What gpu do you have ? and what driver did you install ?
Nvidia proprietary driver. I have to check again the usb live and check how long it takes for logo to appear
I have just checked the usb live using the "try or install Nvidia driver" option. The logo does appear near the login, after some time of black screen. Therefore, at the moment it is normal
