Zorin Os 18 Pro no hard disk capacity shown on System Details at times

Hello guys, I thought I would share this as it is happening at times but not all the times. When I check hardware details on Settings sometimes the hard disk capacity is not shown. Upon restart it does but it does disappear after running virtual machines.
Has anyone else experienced the same issue?

Does this happen on your Dell after suspend? Maybe your computer is also affected

I never noticed if it was after suspend or not but it seems to be a similar issue as my laptop is a Dell.

I don't think it is the same issue that I experienced once when my /home was not showing in gparted.

Checkout how I resolved the issue in the Unofficial Manuals for Zorin Core (15, 17, 18):

Have you also checked FSTAB for entries?

When this happens, is the Disk Capacity and the Disk itself detected in ''Disks'' or ''GParted''?

the disk is recognised properly in Disks and Gparted but I read that it is an issue with Ubuntu aka Zorin and it is going to be fixed in the next release

FSTAB
[/quote] not yet. but the disk is recognised properly using Disks and Gparted

Where did You read that?

on the dell website

Could You link that?

Okay, thank you. But this will be fixed with Ubuntu 26.04. Zorin 18 is based on Ubuntu 24.04. and because the Release was only a couple of Month's ago, it will take Time until Zorin 19 with Ubuntu 26.04 Base will come.

yes that's true but at least we know it's nothing to do with the ssd failing or anything else but just a bug in the programming
