What are you trying to do? It looks normal to me. You drag your window onto one of the blue layouts at the top of the screen, and then it gets placed there. Is something wrong?

You can disable the advanced window tiling function at Zorin appearance if you don't like it.

For more window animations you can e.g. install the gnome extension "Burn my windows"

Maybe some animations don't work together with the Zorin tiling shell gnome extension, so it can help to disable the Zorin tiling shell for testing.

Welcome to the Forum!

What Animations do You expect to get? I mean: How do You think should it look like? Or are You annoyed from the white Tiling Fields? You can disable that like @Forpli already wrote.

no there use to be animations and stuff, no they just appear without any fading. I fixed this issue a while back now

Click :zorin: icon bottom of screen, click system tools. :gear: Scroll, click on Appearance.

There's your Enable Animations toggle and oh so sweet Jelly mode.

I also have Burn My Windows extension, oh what flaming transitions!
