For some reason, i was thinking that it would be cool if Zorin OS had its own online account, kinda like a Microsoft account for Windows (but this time completly optionnal)
While in the system setup, the OS could ask the user "Do you want to use a Zorin account ?"
The user could say no, or yes.
Not like Windows who requires you to have a Microsoft account.
And this Zorin account could add settings sync (except some device specific settings, like screen resolution and this kind of thing), and also allow to sync a Zorin OS Pro key in the account.
I don't really know why i thinked of this, my brain just gets ideas at completely random moments, sometimes.

That would be great, it would make the OS seem more professional. Now that I have Zorin on two of my devices, it would be awesome if i could sync certain settings and customizations.
Just changed the category to feedback as it might be better seen there than in general chat.
Just to add, I wouldn't be surprised if something like this were doable, but maybe they intend for something like that to be done through their Zorin grid? Whenever we get to see some of that, might give us a good idea.
As it stands, I think implementing something such as a "Zorin support" in the "Zorin tour" where it asks if you want to set up an account for help from the community and asks if you want to setup a desktop / taskbar icon for a quick link to it wouldn't be a bad thing. They've already got that system up and running
Please no Account ... That is one of the Reasons why I went Windows.

I concur with @Ponce-De-Leon, additionally it would incur a cost to the Zorin Team and you would then be asking them to offer Cloud Services effectively.
That is too much to ask.

I thinked about costs for servers, but i still wanted to post that idea here.
This kind of random ideas randomly appears in my head sometimes, even tough a lot of ideas i get for things are very hard to make, like this one.
Personally I'm also against accounts, but something completely optional wouldn't really bother me. The main reason I though adding a forum sign up in the Zorin tour might nudge people here to find solutions to common problems.
