so after ruining the command dconf reset -f / I have partially lost all the functionality of zorinOS like zorin appearance and settings. How can I restore all the features of zorin os back ?
You might try
sudo apt install --reinstall zorin-os-desktop
and see if that sets your gsettings variables back to the Zorin Desktop Environment...
