Zorin OS Hibernation Enabled But No Button to do it

Hello,I am using Zorin OS Pro. I have successfully enabled the hibernation feature with swap settings and the GRUB parameter (systemctl hibernate command works without issues). However, I would also like the option to appear in the bottom right Power menu. What can I do?

My system:

16 GB RAM

  • 24 GB Swap
  • LUKS-encrypted 512 GB SSD
  • Swap UUID: c8308336-6542-4747-a3d0-5fe20ccdd185

You could use the gnome extension "arc menu" as start menu instead of zorin menu. There you can choose layouts which offer a button for hibernate.

Or you could try the gnome extension "hibernate status button" to add it to quick settings, but I haven't tested it yet.

As shell version select 46 for Zorin 18 (or 43 for Zorin 17).

Welcome to the Forum!

There is a Gnome Extension who offers this: Hibernate Status Button - GNOME Shell Extensions

Go to Gnome Software and install the Extension Manager:

After the Installation, open it and go to the ''Browse'' Tab. There search for the Extension and click on the Install Button.

Thank You! Pretty Fast Forum.
