Zorin OS Lite (XFCE) desktop icons on light theme
I went to Zorin Appearance to change my theme to dark. And on the XFCE desktop, I highlighted the icons, and this is the result:

Why it's like this? Is it a theme bug?

Did you try and reboot the system and see if it was a xorg issue?
Nope. Not an Xorg issue. Rebooted and the theme bug is still there. I'm on a Zorin OS Lite live session on a bootable USB drive
It seems to be an issue with the default theme only, if you update the icons or applications theme to "Adwaita-dark" the highlighted item looks much better.

You meant, should I change the theme?
I was just confirming that the issue is indeed with the default installation and not with something else in your machine. Which of course means that changing the theme or perhaps even just the icons, it'll go away.
