It should be possible however,
I'd advise you to look for an SSD, that appears to be a HDD

You'd experience much slower times and speeds of use/read and write on an HDD.

Theoretically, You can do it. Do You want to have the Possibility to have the OS mobile? Or don't You have a 2nd internal Drive?
