Zorin Pro Install and the Secure Boot Certificate Problem?

I've been out of the Computer Game for a while so I'm a bit behind on the technology.

As we all know there is a - Secure Boot Certificate - problem with WIN-10. It fully expires in June 2026. Apparently the Certificate needs to be updated to the latest version, which I believe is the 2023 version.

Will installing - Zorin 18.1 Pro - solve the Boot Certificate problem or is that an unrelated issue?

It is sadly related. Zorin OS does not and cannot 'solve' the issue.
Updates are part of the EFI (BIOS) Updates. So updating that should solve the issue for GnuLinux Users.
Microsoft users would get updates via Microsoft or EFI.

No, it will not. That will only work when Your Mainboard Manufacturer offers a BIOS Update which uncludes the newer Certificates. On Windows as far as I've read there were already Updates available. And there is even some kind of Tool who shows if it is updated or not. But I don't know if You update this on Windows if this will only affect the Windows OS Level.

I think better would be when You make a BIOS Update where the newer Certificates are included.

I wonder if this would mean an issue with Ventoy's MOK utility too? Does this mean then that if a distro is installed which used the MOK utility to get nrolled in the EFI will cease to boot come June of this year? Would clearing all the keys out mean installs could be done using mbr?

According to Brave A.I. it won't.

If Ventoy offer an Update that adresses this, it shouldn't be an Issue. You would only to have update the Ventoy Stick.
