The word "Polished" in relation to an OS (or any software) grates with me. Just implies it appears nice and clean on the surface. But what lies below???

True Ponce. However I think these "reviewers" see/read other reviews, then make sure they use the same verbiage. When you see 8+ reviews use the word 'polished' and don't see that word used on reviews of other distro's. I think a lot of reviewers have become lazy, unoriginal.

Polished /ˈpɑːlɪʃt/ adj. (etymology from 14th century, meaning smooth) - Well-finished and refined, not rough or experimental. A complete, user‑friendly product rather than "some assembly required". Cohesive in appearance, with consistent themes, icons, fonts. Common tasks work "out of the box": Wi‑Fi, graphics, sound, printers, Bluetooth, updates, and basic apps. Quality set of default applications preinstalled for immediate productivity. System tools and control panels integrated, easy to find. Reliable updates and package management, with stability and minimal breakage.
