ZOS 16 on Macbook Pro 2015 - Possible missing firmware for module amdgpu

Hello, when I update the OS from the terminal, these warning messages appear, I already tried various options found on the web, such as downloading the get repositories but the *.bin that I require does not appear, or trying to install the original drivers from AMD but nothing:

W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/amdgpu/vangogh_gpu_info.bin for module amdgpu
W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/amdgpu/sienna_cichlid_mes.bin for module amdgpu
W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/amdgpu/navi10_mes.bin for module amdgpu

If anyone can guide me on this I would greatly appreciate it!
Greetings! :metal:

These are normal and though annoying to see, generally are harmless. You might consider them to be placeholders for the kernel, that may include addition in the future. However, if you are anything like me... you may want to get it resolved and add the missing firmware.
This is easy to do- just download the needed firmware, elevate your file manager to Root and copy or move the needed files to /lib/firmware/amdgpu

I too have these on my AMD CPU laptop - not Macbook. You can ignore these.

They often self-resolve when a kernel update arrives, too.

Hello, and thank you very much!
As I mentioned in my query, I already searched the GIT repositories but the three *.bin files that I require are not there:

  • vangogh_gpu_info.bin
  • sienna_cichlid_mes.bin
  • navi10_mes.bin

https://github.com/Umio-Yasuno/unofficial-amdgpu-firmware-repo/blob/main/amdgpu/sienna_cichlid_mes.bin

This file is anticipated and currently not yet available.
