I guess I'm a bit of an odd-ball... I love learning and teaching, reading and researching any topic that takes my fancy. I'm a "migrant worker", an English teacher in a foreign country that I've lived in for over a decade. While I love the hustle and bustle of teaching and interacting with people of all ages and backgrounds, I'm happiest away from it all with animals as my companions.
I love technology but I hate "Big Tech" and find "social media" quite unsocial at times. I would like to step out into the world of Linux, because although I've managed to tame WX and "make it work", I'm not going to be forced into Windows 11, and I believe that with Linux there is another way - or maybe MANY other ways, which is a bit of a problem when you're trying to convince other (Sh)people there is a viable alternative. My goal s to spend the summer learning as much as I can about Zorin_OS and see what I can take with me into the coming academic year.
