PixelPusher
I am a creative developer, mostly web and GUI stuff. I've been pushing pixels around the desktop since I was a kid. My first computer was a Timex Sinclair 1000, where I learned some VERY basic programs. Not long after that, someone bought me a Commodore 64. About that time, the War Games movie came out! AND I just had to get onto that modem to CompuServe!
Later on, I got my first Apple Plus and started working in MS Word, Aldus Pagemaker and Adobe Illustrator. The following years would bring bigger systems like the Apple Macintosh Quadra 950 where I began to develop more DTP skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark-x-press.
Then in 1994 the internet boom happened, I bought a 28.8 modem and started building AOL home pages for friends. Anyone remember that dial-up sound? or "You've Got Mail" From there things really started expanding into CSS, JavaScript, MySQL and PHP.
Currently I'm experimenting and learning about Linux based systems and love the Linux community! Reminds me what it felt like when I got my first Mac.
It's been a roller coaster ride of fun seeing technology move and change. In the meantime, eat - sleep - create!
