I am a Dutch guy, 62, living in Portugal, kinda retired but not really. just left the ratrace to live selfsufficient on a low income until my statepension comes in.
Been away from the web for about 6 years because we live offgrid and we had a new life to build in the middle of mountaneous forests, the nowhere so to say...
I started developing code a long time ago, zx81, clean basic language which I traded in for binairy and hex machinecode which then became MSdos and one of the oldest Linuxes (don't know what is was, too long ago, but I still know some basic commands) on 80286 and 80386 machines which I revived and sold sometimes tens per week enabling me to buy an expensive machine, my first with internet after which I started developing websites.
Now I am back in my old hobby again for about a year or so and picked up where I left with html, php, css, Mysql and python and on the side visual-basic for fun and for building spreadsheets with complicated functions that help me a lot in many things that I collect from the web in bulk like lists of over a million items, like insects, plants, birds and for generating arrays, csv-files for importing into databases and lists of people from 500 years ago till now for my genealogy-hobby.
Now I am putting all that online and my websites are growing rapidly, I love to publish, doesn't matter what: just make things freely accessible to the public that are not easy to find nowadays, especially for free in this money-driven WWW where quantity has become more important than quality and safety.
I fight for free 4 all and freedom 4 all, my main mottos are: equality, sustainability and honesty.
