I've used Linux operating systems as my daily driver since 1996 (w1nd0ws is an invasive parasite). I switched from Ubuntu to Zorin OS in 2009 and never looked back. For the past 6-years my wife has used Zorin as her only operating system.

We sold used laptops on eBay from 2002 to 2007. I installed Red Hat and/or Ubuntu on them along with miscellaneous useful programs so that they'd be setup and ready to use. Much to our surprise, college kids would buy them almost as quickly as we could get them listed.

Basically, as long as the students didn't have to figure out how to burn an ISO file to CD, then install the operating system along with drivers... they were ALL-IN for using Linux. In fact, word-of-mouth amongst the students was our only advertising and they'd watch for laptops to get listed.

It was a lot of fun for us helping the students to be able to buy inexpensive laptops without bleeping w1nd0ws installed.

Starting in 2011 we offered Zorin OS to our customers as a secure alternative including hard drive encryption. As of: 113023 - I've installed ZorinOS on 352 of our customer's computers. They've listened to my reasons for using Linux and were brave enough to try it as long as they didn't have to install it (none have asked to go back to Windows).
