Thought I might need to update all existing software before the upgrade would work. Refreshed after updating some packages and received this error:

An update rolled through earlier on the Main Server for Zorin Upgrader.

Please run the regular system upgrades

sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade

and watch the terminal for the zorin upgrader package.
Once verified, please reboot and then test the Zorin Upgrader tool.

I don't know if I have understood the problem, but perhaps you need to contact Zorin Team about your payment for Zorin 17 Pro, and they should be able to help with the upgrade.

Hi Aravisian,

Followed your instruction and still receive the same fatal error, hence not able to upgrade from 16 pro to 17 pro.

A bit disappointing - will live with 16 for now and may revisit the upgrade at a later point. Cheers for the heads up on what to try.

In Software & Updates, under Download from - use the drop down menu to change this to Main Server
Close Software & Updates and allow it to refresh. In terminal, run

sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade

Watch the terminal for errors and report any if you see any...

If none, test the Zorin Upgrader.
