At some point since 17.3 a copy of Brave browser from flatpak has been installed, I presume this is as a result of the default browser switch.
I already had Brave installed as an apt package.
Would I be better off getting rid of the apt version and switching to flatpak, now that it's part of the OS? Or should I just stick with the apt install I've been using up until now?
Just my personal preference, I prefer APT as you should get updates the same time as system updates. I always believed that flatpak creates bloatware. Just reinstalled Zorin and removed Software (gnome-software) and just use terminal and synaptic package manager. Removing Software removes flatpak and snap at a stroke.

It is your choice. Both versions are available and APT is the default installation.
You can also remove and reinstall Brave Browser by either method if you want the ZorinGroups tweaked version.
But in truth, you likely have tweaked it already yourself so is probably not worth the bother.

Thank you both. I've binned off the flatpak version, I definitely didn't specifically install that one.
I also have a preference for apt installations, just seems cleaner all round.
