Hi everyone, I’m a new Zorin OS Pro user. I’m having an issue with my headset (Astro A40). On Zorin, the sound works perfectly, but the microphone doesn’t seem to work when the headset is connected through a single 3.5mm combo jack on my laptop.
I’ve already browsed through various solutions online, but so far I haven’t found a fix.
Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution that works?

Could it be that this Conenction is too weak? Can You connect it with an USB Cable to check that?

This headset only has a single 3.5 mm combo jack (for both input and output). It works fine on Windows 11, but not on Zorin. I also tried another headset with a 3.5 mm jack and that one doesn’t work either which did on W11.
I don’t have a USB headset yet, so I can’t test that.
I do have Bluetooth headphones and both input and output work with those, but the sound quality is really poor, so that’s not a good option for me.
Did You checked if the Mic might be muted?
Yes, that was the first thing I checked before posting.
Did You checked that in pavucontrol, too?
