Hi there, I have been using Zorin OS 17.3 Core for few months now, and had no issues until the last "updates" a couple of days ago, I can no longer use dead keys (which are important to me for typing special characters and accents etc..)
I don't know how to undo these updates and where did it go wrong, I have been through the list of all "available" keyboards none seem to work any more, whilst before I had (UK, extended, windows) it worked a treat for months.
This is why I have always hated updates, they serve practically no purpose, they screw more than they fix or solve, the same with Microsoft I have disabled all updates, the security nonsense is just a way to get people to keep downloading their rubbish.
I use Linux Mint as well with the same keyboard and it works just fine.
So, I am going to disable the updates as from now.
If anybody knows the answer to this issue, I would really appreciate your help.
Thanks guys

Do You know what Updates were these? Was it maybe a Kernel Update? To know what Updates it were, would be helpful.
If true, select grub "Additional Options for Zorin" and choose the previous kernel gereric version listed. If that functions OK, there are ways to hold that kernel if needed to stick with it until a better one is released.
Kernel updates are known to introduce regressions, but sometimes a later kernel may then reverse that.
I would suggest simply holding on to a previous (working) kernel would be less harmful than refusing ALL updates.
