There may be times that a user must add a specialized grub parameter in order to overcome an issue. The purpose of this guide is not to provide parameters, as that would be a case by case basis. Follow the steps there.

The file looks similar to this (Ponce-De-Leon, I took a screenshot from you)

Change the line

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
to
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi=force"

save the file and then run

sudo update-grub

and reboot.

If it doesn't help remove acpi=force and try it with acpi=off instead at the same place.
